NOAS FOR SURFACE VESSELS

Incorporating the functionality for security, safety, tracking and imaging, Sonardyne’s NOAS is a bow-mounted navigation and obstacle avoidance sonar offering long range detection and mapping of the seabed to deliver the best possible early warning of depth and grounding hazards ahead of the vessel. It maps the seabed ahead of the vessel in high resolution 3D, displaying water depth and terrain information in an easy to use graphical display. The 2D mode provides a longer range with a 2D display.

In addition, when the vessel is at a standstill or moving slowly, NOAS can be combined with Sonardyne’s diver detection sonar, Sentinel, to continuously monitor the surrounding area for underwater targets and the potential threat they present. The low false alarm detection capabilities ensure that only genuine tracks with threatening intent are displayed.
